This is a blog about the process of putting together Catagenesis, an exhibition of site specific installations that will open at Globe Dye Works on September 9, 2012 in Philadelphia. In 2008 I began an experiment using my sculptural geometric space as the basis for imagery I painted with glaze on the surface of platters. Then in 2012, I started my sectional wall works that explore this abstract world in a larger format with a freer major shape. I also include low-relief dimensional elements that enhance and counterpoint the 2 dimensional illusions.
